Frances L. Teeters

Alturas - Frances L. Teeters , age 75, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born November 23, 1935 in Oxford, AL. Mrs. Teeters was a resident of Alturas for 11 years, moving from Mulberry . She was a retail clerk for Lakeland Walmart for 10 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wahneta & the Golden Age Club. She was an avid gardener and artist. Mrs. Teeters is preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Teeters; son: George Allen; her mother & father: Viola Johnson Tucker & Clarence G. Tucker & stepmother: Florence Tucker; sisters: Mary, Eloise, Christine & Dorothy. She is survived by three daughters: Deborah Hogan & husband Fred , Bartow; Lee Batton & husband Bobby, Vero Beach; Mary Lewis & husband Kerry, Lakeland; sister: Millie Rose & husband Tracy, Venice, half brother: C.W. Tucker & wife Judy, Fort Meade, eight grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.. Family will receive friends Friday, November 25, 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
