Frances Hazel Shelton

Mrs. Hazel Shelton died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 84. Born January 16, 1923, she was a longtime Polk county resident. Mrs. Shelton worked for B.C. Cook and Kraft Foods. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Shelton. She is survived by her son; R.J. Shelton and his companion Diane Stephens of Mulberry, a brother; Billy Hogeland also of Mulberry, four sisters; Elbie Trammel, Nellie Riddle, Ruby Bailey, and Clara Pessnell all of Alabama. She is also survived by her granddaughters; Lannette Ochoa of Mulberry, Rachel Hernandez of Mulberry and Samantha Cruz of Lakeland, 3 great grandchildren: Joshua Wellman, Kayley Welman & Sarah Wellman, all of Bartow.. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
