Frances Irene "Rinkie Langdale

Frances Irene "Rinkie" Langdale, 81, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Clare Bridge Center in Winter Haven. Born December 3, 1933 in Lake Garfield, FL, Mrs. Langdale was a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Langdale began her career in the telephone industry with Peninsular Telephone in 1953, when becoming Business Office Manager with General Telephone, before retiring in 1987. She was a member of the McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church of Bartow. She and her husband were active in the Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church during their many visits to Franklin, NC. Mrs. Langdale enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Macon County Quilter's Guild of Franklin, N.C. Mrs. Langdale is survived by her husband of 62 years, John L. Langdale of Bartow; daughter: Phyllis L. Thompson & husband John of Swansboro, NC; three sisters, Claudia Tillet & husband Roy of Ruskin, FL; Bonnie Sullivan, Bartow; & June Powell of Lakeland . Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Memorial Church Christmas Project Fund, 695 W. Stuart St, Bartow, 33830.
