Frances Marion Azzarelli

Frances Marion Azzarelli, age 83, passed away from respiratory failure in Lakeland on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Born in Montgomery, AL on August 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith Tate. Mrs. Azzarelli worked as Medical Assistant for the State of Illinois at Kankakee State Hospital. She was Baptist and also a member of the Moose Lodge in Lakeland. Mrs. Azzarelli is preceded in death by her first husband, Merle Pool, her second husband, Sam Azzarelli, and two children; Carol Craver and Merle Pool along with her two brothers and four sisters, son-in law Ron Turnipseed, and grandson Jarod. She leaves behind her daughter, Janet Simon of Lakeland, five grandchildren; Julie, Carrie, Lorie, Alan, Amy, and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 26th from 2PM to 4PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM on Monday, January 27th at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Gardens in Lakeland.
