Floyd F. Perkins

Floyd F. Perkins, age 86, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Lakeland. Floyd was born on October 15, 1927 in Rochester, NY. Mr. Perkins served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. Floyd worked as a photographer for Eastman-Kodak and also was the owner of Perkins Swim Club in Penfield, NY. He was a longtime member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow, a member of Senior Friends, the Golden Age Club, and Friends of the Library Board. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Shirley J. Perkins of Bartow, daughter Cheryl L. Orefice (Jim) of Rochester, NY, F. Scott Perkins of Florida, Elaine A. Donholt of Fort Myers, FL, his sister Janet Fabry (Chaplin) of Morton, NY, serveral grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his nephew Richard Mitchell and wife Beverly of Bartow. A memorial service will be held at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 East Stanford Street in Bartow on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
