Flossie V. Childress

Flossie V. Childress, 94, of Fort Meade, FL, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, at Bartow Regional Medical Center from natural causes. She was born October 29, 1919 in Avon Park, FL. Mrs. Childress was a Homemaker and a member of the First Church of God of Fort Meade. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Childress and daughter Julia Tice. She is survived by three daughters Margaret Grandmont & Shirley Goble both of Fort Meade and Virginia Williams of Bartow. Five sons Gary Childress of Herrington, KS, Harold E Childress of Wauchula, Donnie Childress, Paul Childress and Ronnie Childress all of Fort Meade. Brother Johnny Smith of Dothan, AL. Numerous Grandchildren, Great grandchildren and Great.great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 10:30 am Friday, August 22, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL with Pastor Travis Risner officiating. Condolences to the family at www.McLeanfuneralhome.net
