Fern B. Fletcher

Mrs. Fern B. Fletcher, age 84, a native of Bartow, FL, died Friday, August 17, 2007, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Mrs. Fletcher was born October 7, 1922 in Bartow. She was the Co-owner of the Corner Drug Store in Bartow for 44 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Bartow. She was part of the Friends of the Bartow Public Library, Former Bartow Rotary Anns, and a Supporter & Band Booster for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband George Fletcher and son Mike Fletcher. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon S. "Twinkle" Brown of Lakeland; sons: Henry Fletcher of New Port Richey; Bill Fletcher of Sebring; Jeff Fletcher of Bartow; sister: Jean Martinson of Lansing, Ill. 9 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, Aug 20, and 10 to 10:30 Tues. Aug 21 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Service will follow at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Dr. Ronald L. Burks & Rev. Frank Brooks officiating. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
