Felicitas Avila

Mrs. Felicitas Avila, 78, of Bartow, FL, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from respiratory failure. Felicitas was born December 3, 1932 in McAllen, TX. She and her family moved from McAllen to Bartow fifty years ago. She was a woman of Faith and a dedicated wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of fifty eight years Felipe Avila; her six children: Juan Avila and Fiancé Bernadette Burgess of Bartow, Ruth Martinez and husband Santana of Fort Meade, Saul Avila of Fort Meade, Flor Reyes and husband Ovin of Bartow, Perla Avila of Brandon, Marco Avila and wife Cheri of Bartow; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will be accepting friends on Thursday, June 9th from 5:30pm to 6:00pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow with a memorial service starting at 6:00pm. A private family burial will take place Friday morning at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
