Faye Byrd

Faye Byrd, age 71, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in Bartow. Born January 18, 1945 in Geneva County, AL, she was the daughter of the late Harvey E. and Virgie (Tate) Culverhouse. Faye was a sectionizer for Ben Hill Griffin of 18years. She was a supervisor with Homes of Merit for 26 years, and owned and operated Main Street Interiors in Bartow for over 10 years. She is survived by a loving family that includes her son Ricky J. Byrd, Sr. (Suzanne), her grandchildren: Ricky J. Byrd, Jr., Ashlei R. Byrd (J.R. Sellers) all of Bartow, her four sisters: Juanita Dorriety of Geneva, AL, Betty Williams of Troy, AL, Mary Helen Daughtry (Robert) of Geneva, Annette Holland (Chester) of Enterprise, AL, and her two great grandchildren: Abigail and Jaxson. The family will receive friends Monday, February 29th from 1pm to 2pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home to help the family with costs.
