Lakeland - Fahy S. Robinson age 84, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his residence in Lakeland of cancer. Born March 7, 1928 in Mesa, AZ, Mr. Robinson was a resident of Lakeland since 1978, moving from Ogden, UT. He was a veteran and serving in the Army in Baumholder, Germany 1955-1956. He was active and world renounced in Homing Pigeon racing. He was owner & President of Stevens Henager College of Utah. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lakeland; he served a full time mission in Mexico and Central America June 1948 to Dec.1950; Director of the Genealogical Microfilm Project in Mexico City 1960-1962. Mr. Robinson served in many callings such as: High Priest Group Leadership, Young Men Pres., Sunday School President, Scout Master, Choir Director and Sunday School Teacher for many years in Utah. He served on the High Council in Lakeland Stake 1997-1998; Branch President in Wauchula, Florida 1998-2001; Second Counselor in the Lakeland Stake Presidency 2001-2005; Patriarch for the Spanish Speaking Saints in six Stakes 2005-2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 yrs, Carol Robinson, Lakeland; three daughters: Lillie Barnes & husband Tony, Layton, UT; Deanna Walcutt & husband Terry, St. Cloud, FL; Deborah Wilk & husband Wook, Lakeland; four sons: Fahy S. Robinson, Jr. & wife Stephanie, Layton, UT: DeVon M. Robinson & wife Kim, Salt Lake City, UT; Stephen Robinson , Ogden, UT; David Lay, Lakeland; survived by one brother & two sisters; nineteen grandchildren & eight great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, August 6, 2012 from 3-4 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5800 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM at the Church. Interment will be held at Ben Lomond Cemetery, Ogden, UT. Memorials may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund, 50 East North Temple 8th Floor, Salt Lake City UT 84150-1501.
