Bartow - Everett "Fred" Ball, age 90, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. He was born February 14, 1931 in Logan, WV, Fred was the Owner/Operator of Ball's Wrecker Service in Bartow. He started his career as a Coal Miner in West Virginia, then moved to Florida in 1965 with the help of Pure Oil Company where he started his service station and wrecker service. He was of the Christian Faith. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was named a part of the Who's Who Business Registry. He was preceded in death by his wife Nella Mae Ball. He is survived by two daughters Michelle Webb (Randy Dicks) of Bartow, Nova Lea Bhave (Miles) of Brandon, son Gary Ball (Jessica) of Bartow, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Family will receive friends from 5 to 6 pm Friday, March 5, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm, Friday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
