Evenico Vasquez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evenico Vasquez, who left this world peacefully on November 1st, 2025, at the age of 83, at home. Born on April 10,1942 in Salguero, Michoacán.

Evencio was a cherished and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend whose legacy of strong will and generosity will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Evenico was preceded in death by his beloved parents Paulino and Consepcion Vasquez and 12 siblings.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Imelda Vasquez of Bartow, children - Rosa Nuñez (Jose) of Frostproof, Andres Vasquez (Sofia) of Chicago, IL, Maria Del Rosario Nava ( Jacinto ) of Wahneta, Jose Luis Vasquez (Irma) of Wahneta, Marianita Vasquez (Miguel Martinez) of Bartow, Jorge Vasquez (Bani) of Winter Haven, Evencio Vasquez (Rosie) of Eagle Lake, Consepcion Flores (Manuel) of Wahneta and Elisabeth Lopez (John) of Wahneta, 38 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren, each of whom carries forward the love and values he instilled in them.

His strong-will, honesty and generosity left a lasting impact on the community he served and loved. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and support during this difficult time. They invited all who knew him to celebrate his life and the many ways he touched their hearts. His memory will live on in the stories shared around family tables, the laughter of his grandchildren and the countless lives he improved throughout his generosity. May Evencio rest in peace, surrounded by the love and light he shared with the world.

Family will receive friends Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Church of Christ Cemetery, Eagle Lake.
