Evelyn C. Clark

Evelyn Combee Clark, 91, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at her residence. Born August 13, 1920 in Bartow, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs Clark attended the Bartow High School and Florida State College for Women. She was a member of the Bartow First United Methodist Church; the Bartow Garden Club & the Bartow Crickett Club. Mrs. Clark was a devoted mother & wife. Some of her accomplishments were, along with her former husband, Richard Clark, land development projects in Bartow and the family farming business. They were major contributors & supporters of the Bartow Regional Medical Center. . She was preceded in death by her two sons: Freddie Clark & James Milton Clark. She is survived five grandchildren: Susan Blenk & husband Paul, Bartow; Rickie Clark & wife Cindy, Highlands Ranch, CO; Cindi Clark, Lakeland; Cathy Ferris & husband Chris, Tallahassee & Jim Clark, Orlando. Nine great grandchildren: Adam Blenk; Jake Blenk & Taylor Blenk all of Bartow; Chrissy Clark, Highlands Ranch, CO; Jamie Clark & David Clark both of Illinois; Sydney Ferris, Julia Ferris & Charlotte Ferris all of Tallahassee. Family will receive friends Monday, October 3, 2011, 10:30 - 11:00 AM at the Bartow First United Methodist Church. 310 S. Broadway. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the Church.
