Evelyn G. Brown

Bartow- Evelyn G. Brown passed away Monday, June 13, 2016. She was born March 16, 1923 in LaBelle, FL to the late Arthur J. and Emma Remington Munroe. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Burton W. Brown. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Karla) Brown and Michael Brown and 4 grandsons, Casey, Cody, Travis and Tyler. She was retired from the Polk County School Board where she worked as a Finance Clerk. She was a Volunteer Chamber Diplomat, was a past member of the Pilot Club for which she served as President in 1986-87 and was a past member of the Bartow Garden Club. Evelyn was a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Bartow. Evelyn enjoyed her family and was a proud grandmother. She enjoyed watching her grandsons participate in sports. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow, a memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral Home.
