Eula Lewis

Eula Lewis, 97, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at her residence in Bartow. Born August 26, 1913 in Lithia, Fl, Mrs. Lewis has been a resident of Bartow since 1940. She spent most of her life as a caregiver for local area families. She also was a cook and waitress for Parker's Restaurant in Bartow for many years. She attended the Jackson Avenue Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband: J.P. Lewis. She is survived by her two daughters: Opal Dee Thomas of Bartow & Mildred Schwartz of Live Oak, FL; son: Harold Lewis of Plant City; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grand children & 13 great great granchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, February 4, 2011, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Plant City at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 5, with Rev. Richard L. Farley, Sr. officiating.
