Eugene "Gene" Franklin Grant

Eugene "Gene" Franklin Grant, age 91, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 while on vacation in North Carolina. He was born on May 30, 1934 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Ernest and Daisy Grant. Gene worked at Barnette’s Service Station for over 43 years. He was a faithful and loving member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Ft. Meade. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Irene of over 65 years, his son in law Tom Small, his parents Ernest and Daisy, his sisters Margaret Marchionda, Willie Albritton, Sara Lamb and brother Edwin. He is survived by his daughter Tammy Grant Small of Bartow, grandson Gordon Greene and wife Krista of Homeland, granddaughter Kristi Smith and husband Justin of Bartow, four great grandchildren Anna Lynn and Clay Greene of Homeland, Jude and Olive Smith of Bartow, and seven nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 6210 Mt. Pisgah Road in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
