Ernest Amos Tidwell

Ernest "Amos" Tidwell Jr. 56 of Lakeland passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Bartow Regional Medical Center from heart failure. Amos was a native of Bartow and a lifelong resident of the area. He was a Sales Representative in the Industrial Industry and of the Prodestant Faith. Amos loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. A loving husband and father he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of twenty one years Susan Tidwell of Lakeland. Daughter Lauren Elizabeth Tidwell of Houston, TX. Three sons Andrew Sutton Tidwell, Coleton Adam Tidwell and Bronson Alan Tidwell all of Lakeland. Parents Ernest and Joyce Tidwell of Bartow. Two sisters Brenda Jenkins and husband Bill of Ocala and Beverly Abbitt and husband James of Babson Park. Brother Charles Tidwell of Alturas. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 29th from 6-8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow and Funeral Services will follow on Wednesday at 10am at the Funeral Home.
