Elzieleen Meeks Pitman

Bartow- Elzieleen Meeks "Ezzie" Pitman, 72, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 of heart failure. Born December 17, 1937 in Soperton, GA, Mrs. Pitman has been a resident of Bartow since 1943, moving from Georgia. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church of Bartow. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph & Bonnie Meeks; & sister: Elizabeth Olinger. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 yrs: Robert Wayne Pitman; two sons: Bobby & wife Gail Pitman; Pat & wife Bridget Pitman all of Bartow; daughter Teri & husband Ron Bach of Lakeland; brothers: Ralph Meeks, Jr. & Clarence Meeks of Bartow; sister: Carolyn Willis of Ocklawaha, FL; 3 grandchildren; Zachary Bach, Andrew Pitman, Crystal Franklin, & 2 great grandchildren: Christopher Granger and Sissy Franklin. Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb 21, 2-4 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Monday 10 am at the funeral home. Family will be receiving friends at Bobby Pitman's resident: 1145 Lee Avenue, Bartow.
