Elvira P. Martinez

Elvira P. Martinez, age 70, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from cancer. Born on June 14, 1941 in Austin, TX, Mrs. Martinez was a resident of Zolfo Springs, moving from Sundown, TX. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Wauchula. She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband Pablo H. Martinez of Zolfo Springs, two daugher; Andrea Torres and husband Pedro of Fort Meade, Adela Martinez of Zolfo Springs, one son Carlos Martinez and wife Christina of Beaufort, SC, three siblings; Ester Torrez, Pauline Hernandez and Enemencio Peralez, Jr. all of Sundown, TX, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 E. Broadway in Fort Meade, where the family will receive friends Sunday, February 5th from 2 to 4 PM. A funeral mass will follow Monday, February 6th at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 408 Heard Bridge Road in Wauchula. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery in Fort Meade.
