Elsie M. White, 88, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the Bartow Hospital of respiratory failure. Born May 1, 1920 in London, England, Mrs. White has been a resident of Bartow since 1949, moving from Apalachicola, FL. She was a homemaker and member of Turning Point Worship Center Center in Bartow. She was preceded in death by her husband: Willie B. White. She is survived by her two sons: Tony & wife Debbie White of Bartow; David & wife Debbie White of Lakeland; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 8, 2009, 4-6 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 2009 at 10 am at Turning Point Worship Center, 1400 East Georgia Street, Bartow. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
