Lakeland- Eloise B. Vieth, age 95, of Lakeland and former resident of Bartow, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Lakeland. Eloise was born on October 6, 1919 in Climax, Georgia near Bainbridge. At age 16 she moved to Lakeland with her family. Later in her life she moved to Bartow where she was a member of the Wildwood Baptist Church. Eloise most enjoyed spending time with her loving family and was a wife and homemaker. While her children were in school, she was an active member of the PTA. She enjoyed gardening and was a Life Member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. She also enjoyed fishing, taking trips, going to the flea market, out to dinner and watching Monday night wrestling on TV. Eloise is preceded in death by her parents: Cannie and Georgia Boutwell, two sisters: Ina Milling and Nell Murphy, one brother: J.D. Boutwell, two husbands: H.L. "Shorty" Palmer and Willard Vieth and one son: Larry Palmer. She is survived by her two daughters: Gloria Harvard (George) of Lakeland, Gail Holmes of Auburndale, one son: Richard Palmer of Fenton, MO, five granddaughters, two grandsons, two great-granddaughters, eight great-grandsons, and three great-great granddaughters. The family will receive friends Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00-3:00 PM at the Wildwood Baptist Church, 1120 S. Woodlawn Ave, Bartow. Services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Church. Interment will follow at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
