Ella Sue Day

Ella Sue Day, age 86, passed away from respiratory failure Saturday, May 25, 2013 at her home in Highland City. Born August 28, 1926 in Broxton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Louie and Zilpha (Miller) Gamble. Mrs. Day was a homemaker and a member of the Pridgen Baptist Church. She is also preceded in death by her husband Jayson Day and is survived by her son; Gary Day (Lia), three daughters, Linda Day Jones (Ed), Melanie Day Morris, and Lisa Day Francis. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Kris Jones, Kelley Jones, Garrett Day, Ethan Raza, Matthew Sherrouse, Cody Sherrouse (Lacey), Jayson Jordan Day, and three great grandchildren, Makenzie, Cody Raymond, and Lindsay. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow where the family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28th from 6PM to 8PM. Funeral services will follow Wednesday, May 29th at 10:00AM at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to Good Shepherd Hospice.
