Bartow - Elio Reyes, Sr., age 50, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born December 15, 1970 in Brownsville, TX, Mr. Reyes was a resident of Bartow / Lake Wales area since 1971, moving from Brownsville. He was a Shop Foreman for Southeastern Construction Co. in Mulberry for 26 years. He is of the Catholic faith. His is preceded in death by his wife of 26 years: Norma Ybarra Reyes.He was survived by his son: Elio Reyes, Jr. (Janellys), Lakeland, daughter Bryana Reyes, Bartow, mother: Felicitas Gonzalez Reyes, Frostproof, two brothers: Guadalupe Reyes (Olivia) & Carlos Reyes, Jr. (Betty), both of Lake Wales, three sisters: Elizabeth Rodriguez, Lake Wales, Martha Ledezma, Grand Rapids, MI & Felicitas Reyes (Moises) Leesville, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church, Lakeland. Interment will be held at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
