Elaine H. Strickland

Elaine H. Strickland, 70, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Born May 14, 1945 in Alapaha, GA, Mrs. Strickland was a resident of Bartow since 1962, moving from Georgia. She taught in the Character Education program in the Polk County schools for many years. Elaine is survived by her husband: William "Bill" Strickland; two sons: Brian Strickland and Mark Strickland (Tina), both Lakeland; a brother: Carroll Harper; three grandchildren: Shaun Strickland, Rachel Strickland & Matthew Strickland. Memorials may be made to Bartow Holy Trinity Episcopal Church or the S.P.C.A. Family will receive friends Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 10-11 A.M. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 W. Stuart Street, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the church.
