Elaine Puckett Lancaster

Elaine Puckett Lancaster, age 65, passed away from heart failure Thursday, October 4, 2012 in Bartow. Born June 4, 1947 in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of Paul and the late Martha Puckett. Mrs. Lancaster was a longtime member and organist of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. She was also a member of the Bartow Lioness Club. Mrs. Lancaster worked as an administrative assistant for the Polk County Board of Commissioners. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister Beth Puckett. Elaine is survived by her son William Todd Cowart of Bartow, her father Rev. Paul E. Puckett of Bartow, her brother Paul E. "Pepper" Puckett, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow where the family will receive friends Sunday, October 7th from 2PM to 4PM. Funeral services will follow Monday, October 8th at 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Bartow, 410 East Church Street in Bartow.
