Edwin V. Mizell

BARTOW - Edwin V. Mizell, 68, of Bartow died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow. He was born March 24, 1948 in Bartow to Wilbur Hugh Mizell and Nettie Eudola Bridges Mizell and was a lifelong Bartow Resident. He graduated from Summerlin Institute in 1966 and was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He retired from GTE as a Telephone Repair Technician, was a member of AMVETS Post 32 in Lakeland, and a past member of the Bartow Jaycees and the First Baptist Church of Homeland. He enjoyed bass fishing at Mary Holland Park, singing karaoke, playing pool with his son and throwing darts. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10AM at the First Baptist Church of Homeland, 208 Church Avenue, Homeland, FL 33847. Interment at Florida National Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
