Edwards Travis J.

Travis J. "T.J." Edwards, age 81, passed away November 19, 2017 in Winter Haven. Born October12, 1936 in Florala, AL, he was the son of the late Julian V. and Bessie (Harrison) Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer. Mr. Edwards was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow, the American Legion Post #3 in Bartow. Along with his parents, Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by his siblings Rev. Roy Edwards, Rev. Preston Edwards and Quida Kenyon. He is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Jackie Edwards of Bartow, his children: Miriam West (Mike) of Bartow, Julia Marsh of Lakeland, and Travis Edwards (Debra) of Winter Haven. He also leaves behind his siblings: Bruce Edwards, Lois Phillips, Ann Snow, Laura Nell Crowley, Barbara Noe, Shirley Lily, his grandchildren: Tiffany, Ashley, Elizabeth, Travis, Madison, Joshua, Railey, and six great grandchildren: Ryan, Bradley, Jessica, Samantha, Juliana, And Elizabeth. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 24th from 1pm to 2pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home chapel.
