Edward Plichta

Bartow - Edward Plichta, age 98, passed away May 7, 2023, at his residence in Bartow. He was born on March 20, 1925, in Bridgeport, CT. He was an Operations Supervisor for Chase Bank. He enjoyed telling stories about baseball and how he traveled to the US by train to see a game in almost every ballpark in America. He was a WWII Veteran and protected the English Channel with a Naval Air Wing Squadron. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Plichta and brother-in-law Daniel DeVito. He is survived by his niece Michelle Connor of Bartow. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Condolences to family at www.whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com
