Edward R. "Chap" Harrison

Lakeland - Edward R. "Chap" Harrison, age 78, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Lakeland Regional Health. Born July 5, 1943 in Columbus, GA, Edward was a resident of Lakeland since 1981, moving from Nashua, IA . He was the owner of American Services for many years. He was a member of The Church of Alturas. He was active in prison and jail ministry for over 30 years. He was survived by a loving family including his wife of 50 years: Shirley Harrison of Lakeland, three sons: Randolph "Scott" Harrison & wife Lori of Mc Lean, VA, John Harrison & wife Shannon of Douglas, GA and Al Harrison of Phoenix City , Alexander two daughters: Kathy Bass & husband Howard of Lithia, FL and Pam Harrison of Broxton, GA, two sisters: Vickey Stamm & husband Paul of Phoenix City, AL and Nancy Heath & husband Dennis of Butler, GA, 8 Grandchildren and 2 1/2 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main Street, Bartow.
