Bartow - Eduardo Vazquez Nieves age 70, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow of heart failure. Born August 8, 1942 in Aguas Buenas, PR, Mr. Nieves was a resident of Bartow 6 years, moving from Rhode Island, He was a maintenance supervisor for Saint Patrick's Cathedral for several years. He was survived by his loving wife: Orquidea Nieves of Bartow. two sons: Orlando Nieves, Lakeland, FL & Eduardo Nieves, Rhode Island; four daughters: Brenda Nieves & Eulalia Balleste both of Bartow; Marisol Harms, Union, NJ & Margarita Jordan, Rhode Island; two brothers: Armando Nieves, Rhode Island & Ramon Morales, Puerto Rico; five sisters: Luz Maria Nieves; Eva Nieva & Benigna Ramirez all of Puerto Rico; Elsa Morena & Carmen Nievas both of Rhode Island; 13 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Word of Life Christian Center 1555 W. Main St. Bartow. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
