Eduardo "E.J." Castro, Jr.

Eduardo "E.J." Castro, Jr., age 21, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at his home in Mulberry. Born April 25, 2000, in Lakeland, he was the son of Eduardo Castro, Sr, and Olivia Vanessa Gallegos of Mulberry. Mr. Castro was the Assistant Manager of the Family Dollars Store in Mulberry. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Fermin San Miguel Gallegos and his uncle Richard Bias. Along with his parents, he is survived by a loving family that includes his brother, Christian Castro, his maternal grandmother, Margarita Gallegos, his paternal grandfather, Fortunato Castro, his paternal grandmother, Ernestina Escobedo Castro, his aunts and uncles: Consuelo Gallegos-Bias, Liza Gallegos, Fernando Gallegos, Elezar Gallegos (Emily), Mariana Gallegos, Margie Gallegos, Rodolfo Castro, Erika Hernandez, Lurdes Soto and Eduardo Soto. He also leaves behind his cousins: Australia, Knoxx, Solomon, Gabriel, Armani, Phelan (Jenna), Verra, Harper, Norellie, Emilia, Selah, Marrea, Alejandro, Marissa, Macey, Cyrus, Gilberto, Gabriella, Lilliana, Kayla, Cristian, Isabella, Sophia, Havilah, Isyss, Jasiah and Ariani. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4th from 5pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, March 5th at 10:00am at the First United Pentecostal Church of Mulberry, 303 N.W. 9th Ave. Mulberry, FL 33860.
