Edna Furtah

Edna Furtah, age 80, passed away from cancer Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home in Bartow. Born February 4, 1934 in Jamestown, TN, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Wright. Mrs. Furtah had been a resident of Bartow since 2004, moving from Wauchula where her and her husband were longtime residents. She was also the Co-owner of Medi-Test Occupational Health Services in Bartow. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth H. Furtah. She is survived by her two daughters; Cindy Adams (Tim) of Lakeland, Debbie Kinder (Henry) of Wauchula, her sister Pauline Copeland (Gene) of Jamestown, TN, her six grandchildren; Megan Harrison, Jamie Harrison (Ashlee), Shyanne Adams, Brad Kinder, Kristen McNeil, and Susan Martin (Mike). She also leaves behind her great grandchildren; Peyton Viall, Clinton Howard Jr., Colby Harrison, Taryn Martin, Luke Martin, Kyri Grantham, and Edyn Grantham. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 13th from 5PM to 6PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will immediately follow at 6PM Thursday at the funeral home chapel.
