Edna Carroll

Mrs. Edna Carroll, age 95 passed away on Mon. May 12, 2008 in Bartow. Born Dec. 4, 1912 in Twoombs County, GA, Edna was the daughter of Ed and Carrie White. Edna was a homemaker and a longtime Bartow resident. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hyman Carroll, son Franklin Carroll, and grandson Donald Hand. Edna is survived by three sons; Benny Carroll (Helen) of Bartow, Wilson Carroll of Miami, Marcus Carroll (Henrietta) of Lakeland, five daughters; Eloise Wilson, Kay Hinojosa (Emilio), Fay Wisham, Dorothy Boree all of Bartow, and Sandra Edgemon (Lynn) of Plant City. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 30 great great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, where family will receive friends Wed. May 14th from 6 PM to 8 PM. Services for Mrs. Carroll will follow Thurs. May 15th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel.
