Edith C. Granger

Edith C. Granger, age 81, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at her home in Fort Meade. Born in Harlan County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Estil Baker and Lenora (Morgan) Gibson. A longtime resident of Bowling Green, Mrs. Granger worked for many years in the food service and hospitality industry. She is preceded in death by her sister, Rosa Lee Peavey and great grandson, Brandon Ray Cheshire. Edith is survived by her children: Loretta Smith (Phillip) of Bowling Green, Leslie Lyle (Philip) of Fort Meade, Dennis Grissom of Fort Meade, Gene Grissom of Wauchula, Sherman Grissom (Dawn) of Hyden, KY, Michael Owens (Tammy) of Huntsville, AL, Tommy Granger (Michelle) of Bartow, John Granger of Bradenton, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6th from 10am to 11am at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade. A graveside service will follow at 11:30am at Bowling Green Cemetery in Bowling Green.
