Edith Glisson

Mrs. Edith C. Glisson age 80, of Bartow, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Oakbridge Healthcare Center in Lakeland. A native of Bluefield West Virginia, Mrs Glisson has been a Bartow resident over 50 years. She was a Homemaker. She was a Methodist. She was formerly employed with the Thompson Cigar Factory, Bartow. She is survived by her husband: Samuel "S.T." Glisson of Bartow; Son: Rick Sanchez of Lakeland; Daughters: Jackie McCoy of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Myra Glisson of Bartow; Lisa Olinger of Auburndale; Brother: James Ferguson of West Virginia Sisters: Margaret Collins & June McKee, both of Cedar Bluff, Va; Eulalia Harmon of Charleston, WV. Family will receive friends Monday, March 12, 6-8 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
