Edith Bailey

Mrs. Edith Bailey, age 70, died March 16, 2008 from respiratory failure in Tampa. Born March 9, 1938 in Alturas, Mrs. Bailey was a lifelong Bartow resident. She was a homemaker and attended Christian Harvest Church in Lake Wales. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her daughter, Desser Trammell of Bartow, step children; Shirley Ethridge of Auburndale, James Bailey of Haines City, siblings Daniel Carmichael and Shirley Jo Altman both of Bartow, step father Benton Scarborough also of Bartow. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Ronda Adler, Brandi Potter, Nikki Sanders, Nathan Sanders, step grandchildren;Carl Ethridge, Lavon Ethridge, Aaron Ethridge, Taylor Bailey, Robby Bailey, Jamie Bailey, and her great grandchildren; Wyatt Adler, Promise Potter, Jacob Potter, Jr., Fayth Potter, and Haley Tilley. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Thursday March 20, 2008 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Services will follow Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel.
