Earl Robert Reilly

Earl Robert Reilly 86 of Bartow passed away May 19, 2009 at the Oakbridge Health Care Center in Lakeland. A native of Christina he moved to Bartow from Nichols in 1936. He was a Phosphate Maintenance Mechanic and retired from Mobil Mining and minerals after 45 years of service and spent the last 10 years working as a crossing guard for the Polk County Sheriffs Office. Mr. Reilly was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Bartow and a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and WWII. He was also Past Commander and lifetime member of American Legion Post #3 in Bartow, Lifetime member VFW #2405 in Bartow, Past Commander Bartow Commandary #15, Royal Arch Mason, Scottish Rite Mason, Shriner, Perpetual member of Free and Accepted Mason, Twice Master of Highland City Lodge #285 F & AM, Past Patron Bartow Chapter #38 Order of Eastern Star, President of USS Young (DD580) Reunion Association. Mr. Reilly was preceded in death by his wife Crystal "Ruby" Reilly and is survived by two daughters Patricia Lee Morgan of Lakeland and Brenda Gail Sensabaugh of Bartow; one sister Mary Bryant of Bartow; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Friday 5/22/2009 from 6-8PM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow with services to follow on Saturday 5/23/2009 at 10AM at the Funeral Home.
