Durward M. "Dude" Kinsler

Durward M. "Dude" Kinsler, 95, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland. Born March 10, 1920 in Greenwood, SC, Mr. Kinsler was a resident of Homeland since 1984, moving from Yakinville, N.C. He was a Field Engineer for General Dynamics, Stromberg Carlson Divison for many years. He was later employed with the Yadin Telephone Co. for twenty years. He was a WWII Army Military Police veteran. He was a member of the Homeland First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Lois K. Kinsler of Homeland; three sisters: Vivian Stevens, Johnnie Gordy & Grace Elrod; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
