Douglas C. Burtz

Fort Meade - Douglas C. "Bull" Burtz, 82, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020. He was born October 6, 1937 in Doerun, GA, He was a Supervisor for Kaplan for 30 years, then worked 10 years at the Egg Plant in Bartow. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God. Is is survived by his wife; Ivajean Burtz of Fort Meade, daughter; Thea Diane Thomas (Richard) of Fort Meade, two sons; James Burtz of Fort Meade, and Douglas "Chris" Burtz of Fort Meade, grandchildren; Eric Thomas and Richard Thomas, Jr. (Brandi). Memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Cornerstone Church of God, 10 S. Seminole Avenue in Fort Meade, FL. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fort Meade.
