Dorothy A. Taylor

Bartow - Dorothy A. Taylor, age 87, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at her residence in Bartow. Born December 26, 1927 in Bartow, the daughter of O.B. "Obie" and Bertie Mae Beasley, Mrs. Taylor was lifelong resident of the area. She was the Secretary for the Dean of Admissions for Polk Junoir College for several years. She was a member of the Bartow First Baptist Church, Golden Age Club, LLL Club, Lioness Club & the "Anna" widow's group at First Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, T.E. "Bud" Taylor and son, Randy Taylor. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Kautz of Bartow, brother, Ray Beasley and wife Connie and nephew Jamie Beasley, all of Sun City Center, FL, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren & 6 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
