Dorothy L. Smith

Mrs. Dorothy Exum Smith, age 80, of Bartow, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Bartow Center. Born June 15, 1927 in Nashville, GA, Mrs. Smith has been a resident of Bartow 54 years, moving from Okeechobee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Bartow. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Smith. she is survived by her sons: Timmy Smith of New York; Martin Smith & Gregory Smith of Bartow; Jeffery Smith of Fort Meade; daughters: Gail Pearson of Fort Meade; Marsha Hunt of Lakeland; Jean Smith of Fort Meade; Vicky Hunt of Arcadia; Candice Wood of Tennessee; sister: Betty Griffin of Mulberry. 13 grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 1, 2-3 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gandy Cemetery in Connersville, Fla.
