Dorothy L. Roberts

Dorothy "Dot" Roberts, age 73, of Fort Meade, FL, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. She was born in Black, AL on Sept. 26, 1934. She worked as a peanut grater when she lived in Graceville, then in the early 70's she moved to Bartow and worked for Ben Hill Griffin as a citrus sectionizer for over 20 years and has lived in Fort Meade for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Carnley, brother Jimmy Jones and her parents Sollie & Daisy Jones. Survived by her husband Clyde Roberts of Fort Meade; Two Daughters, Sherrie (Tim) Forrester of Graceville, FL & Amy Baker of Fort Meade Two Sons, Glenn (Linda) Carnley of Fort Walton Beach, FL & Barry (Wanda) Carnley of Graceville, FL Three Sisters, Mincie (RJ) Carnley of Bonifay, FL ; Doris (Presley) Owens of Graceville, FL & Virginia Patterson of Hiawassee, GA Two Brothers, John M. "Buddy" Jones of Graceville, FL & Donald Jones of Graceville, FL Twelve grandchildren Nine great-grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, September 28, 2007.
