Dorothy Jean Marple

Dorothy Jean Patterson Marple, 86, of Bartow, FL, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 from respiratory failure. Mrs. Marple was born March 28, 1923 in Bellaire, Ohio. She was a L.P.N. and a member of Turning Point Worship Center in Bartow. She was preceded in death by her husband John Marple and her son Richard Skapik. She is survived by her Five Sons, John Skapik of Bluefield, GA. Terry Kirkland, Jerry Kirkland, Danny Marple and Jay Marple all of Bartow. One Sister, Patricia Ann Church of Bellaire, Ohio. Nine Grandchildren, John Michael Skapik, Tonya Altieri, Michael Marple, Jason Kirkland, Nikki Monroe. Jerry Kirkland Jr., Kelly Cribbs, Michelle Skapik, Marc Skapik and 14 Great Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow, FL. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be at Gandy Cemetery.
