Dorothy W. Hart

Dorothy W. Hart, age 94, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 in Lakeland. Born October 20, 1923 in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Buck and Rita (Matteson) Weeks. Dot was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alturas and volunteered as a Librarian's Assistant at Alturas Elementary School. She worked as an Accountant for Continental Can in Maryland before moving to Florida. Dot is preceded in death by her husband Earl Hart, Sr.. Mrs. Hart is survived by five sons: Bill Hart of Bartow, Edward J. Murray (Joyce) of Cumberland, MD, Earl "Dan" Hart, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Michael A. Hart (Lynn) of West Chester, PA, and Bob Etheridge (Darlene) of Willingboro, NJ. She also leaves behind a brother, Harvey Buck Weeks, Jr. (Sharon) of Glen Arm, MD, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
