Dorothy Gramling Harrison

Dorothy Gramling "Dot" Harrison, age 80, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born November 26, 1932 in Fort Meade, FL, to O.C. & Mary Whidden Gramling. Mrs. Harrison was a lifelong resident of the area.. She was a School Bus Driver for the Polk County Schools for over 40 years. She was a member of the Bartow First Assembly of God. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, She adored family time with her children, grandchildren, nephews & nieces. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Cecil A. Harrison; a son Timothy Cecil Harrison, sisters: Melba Reynolds, Mildred Fuller & Myrtle House; brothers: Lloyd Gramling & Curtis Gramling. She is survived by her son, Mike Harrison (Pam) of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Cecilia Speight (Ben) of Fort Meade, sister: Martha Horn, Tavares, FL; brother: Carlton Gramling, Arcadia; grandchildren: Brad Rhoden (Julie), Case Harrison, Avery Harrison, Stacia Filyaw (Chuck), Shelley Lopez (Manuel), great-grand children: Blake Rhoden, Haley Rhoden, Hannah Filyaw, Karley Lopez, Analea Lopez; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the First Assembly of God, 915 S. Broadway, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Church. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
