Dorothy Rush Cunningham

Dorothy "Dot" Rush Cunningham, 86, of Bartow passed away on February 5, 2014 from heart failure at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida. A native of Abingdon, VA she moved to the Bartow area in 1959. Dot was a homemaker loved dogs and birds and was of the Methodist faith. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Beulah Rush of VA, two brothers Ted and Richard Rush of FL, one sister Calvin Moore of Bristol, TN. Dot is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years James "Jim" L. Cunningham of Bartow, three sons John Cunningham of Tallahassee, FL, Jack Cunningham of Bartow, FL and James "Jimmy" Cunningham of St. Augustine, FL, one brother Jack Rush of Blountville, TN, two sisters Betty Cunningham of Amherst, VA and Freda Sutphin of Tallahassee, FL, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
