Doritha Barriger

Lakeland- Mrs. Doritha B. Barriger, 94, of Lakeland, died Friday, February 9, 2007, of respiratory failure at Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Barriger lived in Lakeland since 1993, moving from Mount Dora. Mrs. Barriger was a secretary for the Apopka Police Department for several years. She was a member of Disciples of Christ Church, Orlando and was active in the Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, David Barringer, Sr. She is survived by her Daughter: Grace Ritchie of Lakeland; Son: David Barriger, Jr. of Apopka; Sister: Leone McCully of Saginaw, Mich; Brother-Jack Cohoon of Fort Myers; Half Sister: Mary Jane Balcueva of Saginaw; Half Brother: Allan Cohoon of Owosso, Mich. 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great great grandchildren. Interment will be in Mount Dora Cemetery at a later date. Memorials: Bartow First Baptist Church Partners in Ministry Fund, 410 E. Church St, Bartow, FL, 33830.
