Doris J. Tucker

Fort Meade - Doris J. Tucker, 88, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020. Mrs. Tucker was born October 29, 1931 in Laura Hill , FL to Barney & Juddie Helms. She had lived in Fort Meade since 1941 moving from Geneva, AL. Doris was a member of Homeland Baptist Church. She was a Blood Bank Supervisor. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband; James Leroy Tucker, two brothers; Robert Helms and Mack Helms, sister; Betty Meyer. She is survived by her two sons; Denny Tucker (Leta) and James Tucker (Debbie) both of Winter Haven, daughter; Fidelia A Salley (Robert) of Cherrylog, GA, two brothers; Rex Helms of Fort Meade and Ray Helms of Lake Wales. Nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, March 20, 2020 from 10 to 11 am at McLean Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Friday, March 20, 2020 at McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Homeland Cemetery in Homeland, FL.
