Doris M. Register

Bartow - Doris M. Register, age 93, passed away May 16, 2024 at her residence in Bartow after a brief battle with breast cancer. She was born October 10, 1930 in Samson, AL to Thomas and Dollie McCollough. Doris was a long-time resident of Bartow, moving from Samson, AL (Geneva County) in 1948. She was a certified cook for the Polk County School Board for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, most would even say that cooking was her gift! Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Mack E. Blair and Bobby J. Register; son, Thomas Blair; sisters, Earline Blair, Mary Lewis, Martha McCollough and Edna McCollough. She was survived by her daughters, Sandra J. Wells of Bartow, Janet L. Caples of Bartow, Wanda R. Stewart of Bartow, and Rita C. Register of Austin, TX; son, Johnny Blair of Marble Falls, TX; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM at The Vineyard Church of God, 490 W Vine St., Bartow, officiated by Herman Music.
