Doris Harris Moss

Mrs. Doris Harris Moss, age 75, passed away from complication of a stroke, Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Born September 2, 1933 in Bartow, she was the daughter of the late June E. and Ruby Harris. Mrs. Moss worked for U.S.-Agri Chemical as a purchasing manager. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She was also a past member of the Purchasing Management Association and a member of the Bartow Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Moss is preceded in death by her husband David T. Moss. She is survived by her children; Dwayne Moss (Sharon), daughter Kay Hodgkins, and sister Betty O'Cain all of Bartow. She also leaves behind five grandchildren; Kimberly Moss, Ian Hodgkins, Cade Hodgkins, Shane Foster, Melissa Sowder, and five great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Sunday July 12th from 4pm to 6pm. Services for Mrs. Moss will follow Monday July 13th at 10am at the funeral home chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Baptist Church, 1140 E. Main Street Bartow, FL 33830.
